Caffeinated does not collect your data. There is no analytics, no advertising, no behavioral tracking and no third-party software development kit in the app. Nobody working on Caffeinated can see what you enter.
Everything you enter is stored on your device. If you turn on Sync with iCloud, a copy is kept in your own private iCloud account, which only you can reach. Caffeinated has no server and no account of its own.
Caffeinated keeps the coffees you add, the brews you log with their numbers and tasting notes, the grinders, brewers and recipes you set up, and the café coffees you record with the café's name and map position.
When you scan a bag, the photo is read on your device to fill in the coffee's details, and the photo is kept with that coffee. When you tap Cafés near me, your location is used once to search nearby and is not stored. Café searches go to Apple Maps to find places. With Apple Health switched on, Caffeinated adds caffeine entries to Health and never reads anything from it. A Bluetooth scale sends its weight to the app while you brew, and the weight curve is kept with that brew. Your Apple Watch receives the list of coffees to brew again and sends back the brews you time on it.
Purchases are handled by Apple. Caffeinated never sees your payment details. The app uses verified purchase records to check subscription access.
Settings in Caffeinated has a "Delete all data" control that removes every coffee, brew, café visit, grinder and recipe from the device, and from your iCloud when sync is on. Deleting the app also removes its local data.
The controller of any personal data described here is Joao Vitor Humenhuk Achutti, a sole trader, 38 Allenby Street, Tel Aviv-Jaffa 6332512, Israel. You can ask what is held, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or complain, by writing to caffeinated@humenhuk.com. You can also complain to the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority or to the data protection authority where you live.
